Monday 11 September 2017 - 10:00 to Tuesday 12 September 2017 - 15:00

TY Expo is an annual event that focuses on TY students and places them, as well as their teachers and parents, face-to-face with the people behind the many opportunities available to them throughout the year. TY Expo 2017 will take place at Punchestown Racecourse from 11-12 September 2017. Now in it's 3rd year, the event offers a huge range of exhibitions, demonstrations, presentations and interactives that are designed to kick-start the year on a high note.

At TY Expo 2017, FameLab will be joining forces with the Science Foundation Ireland's SmartFutures.ie, an initiative that aims to provide STEM career resources to students, teachers, guidance counsellors and parents in Ireland and to stimulate an interest in STEM subjects in secondary school and at third level.

Two of our FameLab alumni, Joanne Duffy from Galway and Aine Flood from Dublin will give talks and answer questions on their studies/careers in science, as well as the importance of science communication more generally. There will also be a FameLab stand at the SmartFutures.ie area of the exhibition where teachers, other exhibitors and students will be able to find out more about our global science communication competition and how to get involved.

Venue: Punchestown Racecourse Event Centre,  Naas, Co. Kildare

Times: Monday 11-Tuesday 12 September 2017
