Action, animation, drama – expect this and more from Short Shorts – a selection of European short films from the home countries of nine members of EUNIC Ireland (European Union National Institutes for Culture). Let Austria, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Greece, Poland and the UK entertain you with a variety of genres from contemporary, cutting-edge filmmakers.
This year the British Council are proud to present Dodgy Dave (2017) by Charlotte Regan, a film about an east end drug dealer who has to take his son to work and spends the day struggling to connect with him.
Charlotte Regan is a filmmaker from North London whose first short film Standby (2016) was nominated for a BAFTA. She is a Sundance Ignite Fellow and a BFI Future Film and New Talent award winner.
