Virtual Science Communication Master Class

Run by some of the top science communicators in the world, this has been one of the best prizes for all FameLab finalists in previous years (top 10 candidates selected from the Ireland regional/video heats). In 2021, the master class will be delivered online but it will still be a great opportunity to learn why public engagement is important, develop invaluable media and presentation skills, and get the opportunity to network with scientists from many different scientific fields!

All FameLab Ireland participants will connect with other science enthusiasts, gain access to FameLab networks and develop their science communication skills (sci-comms training offered for all regional heats).

FameLab finalists will be invited to take part in science public engagement events in Ireland and internationally. To date, Irish alumni have been involved in various national initiatives including Science Week Ireland, Pint of Science, SCI:COM Conference, Bright Club as well as events across the globe including in the UK, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, France, the Netherlands, South Korea and the USA.
