The FameLab Ireland 2019-20 winner will compete in the FameLab International finals taking place during Cheltenham Literature Festival, UK in Octobe 2020. Here a world of opportunities will really be opened up as you network with fellow scientists from around 30 countries across the globe.

The two runners-up will also have the opportunity to participate in a UK science festival during 2020.

Other Opportunities

All FameLab Ireland candidates will meet other science enthusiasts, gain access to FameLab networks and develop their science communication skills (sci-comms training offered for all regional heats/mini-heats).

FameLab finalists will be invited to take part in science public engagement events in Ireland and internationally. To date, Irish alumni have been involved in various national initiatives including Science Week, Pint of Science, SCICOM Conference, Bright Club as well as events across the globe including in the UK, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, France, the Netherlands, South Korea and the USA.
