On 20 October 2022, we marked the BBC’s centenary at the British Embassy in Dublin, hosted at the British Ambassador's residence in Glencairn. The event brought together Irish presenters, actors, producers, and executives to celebrate 100 years of the BBC and the strong partnerships between the British and Irish broadcasting sectors. Among the speakers were former BBC chief news correspondent Kate Adie, who has ties to Ireland, and *Normal People* producer Catherine Magee. The evening featured BBC archive footage and music from the broadcaster’s early years.

Attendees included RTÉ Director General Dee Forbes, Eddie Doyle, BBC Northern Ireland’s head of content commissioning, Steve Carson, BBC Scotland Director, Fiona Campbell, BBC Three Controller, Désirée Finnegan, Screen Ireland’s CEO, Celene Craig, Chief Executive of the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland, and Shane Harrison, the BBC’s Dublin correspondent.

Also present were presenters Ryan Tubridy and Angela Scanlon, musician and actor Camille O’Sullivan, actors Aidan Gillen and Ardal O’Hanlon, comedian Oliver Callan, sports commentator Marty Morrissey, and actors Alex Murphy and Jennifer Barry, who starred in the BBC-RTÉ co-production *The Young Offenders*, set in Cork.
