The Artificial Intelligence (AI) strand of our Youth Connect programme aims to develop specialised skills that will enable young leaders to design AI-based solutions responding to social and climate challenges.
The British Council and the British Embassy in Dublin, in collaboration with the Human-Centered AI Research Group (HAI) at Munster Technological University (MTU), and the Science Foundation Ireland Research Centre ADAPT, organised an Artificial Intelligence for the Common Good Hackathon for young people from either an Artificial intelligence or/and a Social Innovation background in Cork on 1–2 November 2023.
The winning team will be awarded a study visit trip to Bristol, one of the leading sustainable cities of the UK (March 2024). The team will also have the opportunity to visit relevant institutions and projects to draw inspiration and expand their knowledge. They will also meet the winning teams of all countries where hackathons took place to exchange ideas and network.
