Dr. Penny Palmer has been making science TV programmes for over 13 years. Her personal credits include Horizon, Science Club, The Sky At Night, Tomorrow’s Food and many more besides – a vast body of work that has seen Penny manage a huge number of different presenters and a wide variety of subject matters, everything from archaeology to outer space. She is as comfortable nestling up to gorillas in Cameroon’s jungle as she is directing Dara Ó Briain on the Science Club sofa.
The secret to Penny’s success is her curiosity and desire to understand how the world ticks. And as somebody who studied parasites living inside starfish for her PhD in Marine Science, Penny argues she’s got an acute sense of curiosity. First and foremost, Penny is a proud mum to Maisie, partner to Mark and Kiwi to her beloved New Zealand.
