FameLab is back! Held annually in over 30 countries, UCD and the British Council have teamed up once more to bring FameLab to the university for a mini-heat.
Armed only with their wits and a few props, the top newest voices from the world of science, technology, engineering and maths will deliver three-minute talks on weird and wonderful science concepts. Expect to hear anything from why people are taller in space, to wasps that live inside figs, and how there are good guys and bad guys when it comes to vaccinations.
Presentations will then be judged according to FameLab’s golden rules – the three Cs: Content, Clarity and Charisma. As an audience member you too can be involved in the judging process and have the power to rate the contestants along with our esteemed panel of judges.
The top two from the FameLab UCD mini-heat will go on to take part in the Dublin heat on 25 February, with a chance to represent the region at the FameLab Ireland national final in April 2020.
So, encourage your curiosity and get a snapshot into the world of science, engineering, maths and technology at this entertaining and exciting event!
