Each year, British Council Ireland participates in Higher Options, Ireland's largest higher education exhibition, providing information and guidance for students considering study opportunities in the UK and Ireland.
For Higher Options 2026, we are delighted to be attending alongside Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) providing students, parents and guidance counsellors with information about higher education opportunities across the UK and Ireland.
Higher Options brings together more than 150 universities, colleges, admissions bodies and education providers. The event offers students the opportunity to explore a wide range of study pathways and speak directly with representatives from institutions in Ireland, the UK and beyond.
Visitors to the British Council Ireland stand will have the opportunity to meet representatives from UCAS and learn more about the application process, qualification requirements and the wide range of study options available at UK universities.
To support students considering studying in the UK, we are pleased to share our Higher Education Guide, designed for students from Ireland wishing to study in the UK, and students from the UK wishing to study in Ireland.
The guide provides practical information on the Common Travel Area (CTA), the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) application process, points conversion, available financial support, and answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about studying in either country.
